Ada Stringham Haacke, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away on her birthday, August 11, 2017, after complications from a fall at the age of 87.

Ada was born in Bountiful, Utah during the height of the Great Depression on August 11, 1930 to Natolia Bollwinkel and Richard Haven Stringham. She grew up in both Bountiful and Ogden as her family followed their dad to new professions, and attended both Weber High School and Davis High, where she graduated in 1948. She also attended the University of Utah for a year.

When her family moved from Ogden back to Bountiful, she met her sweetheart and eternal companion, John Wilford Haacke. After a short courtship John and Ada were married for eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on September 29, 1949. They had a wonderful and exciting marriage, traveling throughout the country and the world together and were looking forward to their 68th wedding anniversary.

She was active in the LDS Church and served in many ward and stake positions, including Ward Relief Society President and Stake Relief Society President.

Ada is survived by her loving husband John, her five children; Craig (Sandy) Haacke, Brent (Nancy) Haacke, Chris (Paula) Haacke, Alan Haacke, Jayne (Patrick) Lambert, her dog Max, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, her brothers; Richard Stringham, Stanford Stringham, and brother-in-law Don Egginton. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Maurine Bowyer, and brother Fred Stringham.

Funeral service will be held Friday, August 18, at 11:00 am at the Bountiful 7th Ward, Bountiful, Utah South Stake, 1280 South Main, with viewings held at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful on Thursday August 17, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and again on Friday from 9:30 am to 10:45 am at the church prior to the service.
