Adam Colby Ericksen

March 8, 1988 — June 4, 2015

Adam Colby Ericksen age 27 was born on March 8, 1988 to Greg and Bonnie Ericksen.  He graduated from Woods Cross High School and attended Salt Lake Community College and the University of Utah where he planned to graduate with a degree in business. Adam left this earth on June 4, 2015. On this day a piece of our heart returned to Heavenly Father.  Despite Adam's earthly chapter closing early in this life, he had an outstanding resume of life experiences.  As a creative person, he was a musician at heart.  He played the bass and guitar and had a true natural talent.  Adam played in different bands and was in the process of recording his music.  Adam, his father, brother Matt, and friends had many jam sessions.  Everyone loved hearing Adam play the music he wrote. He shared his love of music, poetry in song, with many other family members, especially his dad who is also a songwriter/musician.  Adam was very bright and inventive.  He designed many items, from gadgets for his musical instruments to starting his own business designing watch bands.  He was named Entrepreneur of the Year for Salt Lake Community College.  Adam also loved to travel and was fortunate to travel extensively.  As a true adventurer, his path took him to many places, one being Ecuador with his partner in crime, Sean Thompson, in which he lived there for a few months.  Sean, being his best friend, was an important person in his life.   Adam was so energetic, carefree and full of life.  His beautiful smile was contagious.  He was always smiling.  He was one of the genuine people in this world, who would do anything for anyone.  He helped family and friends whenever they needed him without complaint. Adam was always there for us. His mother called him her rock, because of his tender spirit and deep bond they share. His family and friends will miss him immensely with all his fun antics and loving ways.  He loved all his nieces and nephews and they loved him with his forever young spirit. He had a great love for nature and the outdoors. His last adventure took him to the Colorado River where he planned to ask his long time sweetheart and soul mate, Christine Lund, to marry him.  His bright future and prospects were cut tragically short.  Adam, you will be loved and missed until we meet again.  He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Keith and June Hamilton, his grandfather, Max Ray Ericksen and brother, Kristopher Adam Ericksen.  He is survived by his parents: Greg Ericksen, Bonnie Ericksen, his step-mom, Denise Ericksen and his Grandma, LeIsle Ericksen, his true love and soul mate, Christine Lund and his best friend, Sean Thompson; his uncles and aunts KC and Nancy Ericksen, Mike and Cheri Ericksen, Robyn and David Beck and Steven and Lucinda Ericksen.  He is also survived by his siblings: Melissa and Mike Martin, Matthew and Alexis Ericksen, Jaime Ericksen-Mutter and Nate Mutter, Jonathan Ericksen, Brianna Ericksen and Justin Hatfield, Corinne and Danny Sanovich and Carlie Christensen.  He is survived by his many nieces and nephews: Madison, Regann, Zachary, Beckham, Dylan, Kegan, Morgan, Mikai, Maya, Grace, Marley and Ryder.
