Afton Loraine Jacobson Pearson 1921-2010

Our sweet aunt, mother, grandma, great-grandma, great-great-grandma Afton Loraine Jacobson Pearson passed away in her sleep early in the morning on the 28th of May 2010, she was 89. Born 13 January 1921, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Lawrence Erwin and Emma Johanna Lundberg Jacobson. The sixth of seven children, six girls and one boy. She graduated from South High in 1938. She married John Alma Pearson 20 Dec 1945 in Salt Lake City. They lived in Spanish Fork, Reno, San Francisco, then retired in Watsonville, California. Al died 4 May 1984. She worked with Al in many of his businesses. Afton was loving and compassionate, always smiling and she loved her family. Survived by, niece Shirlee Hart Rick, nephews Wally Fowler Suzanne, Bountiful; Larry Fowler Laurel, Centerville; Wade Fowler Antje, Bountiful; niece Barbara Wilson, Bountiful. Loving stepdaughter Dorothy Reynolds, Kansas, six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her father, mother, sisters, Irene, Florence, Louise, Helen, Carole, brother Lawrence and husband Al. We would like to thank the wonderful staff at Legacy House Assisted Living of Bountiful for their loving care and compassion for the past 3 years. Private graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Friends and family may call Wednesday from 9:30 – 10:15 a.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, prior to services. Interment – Salt Lake City Cemetery.
