Alan Jacobs

Biography

Alan Clare Jacobs of Bountiful, Utah passed away at his home on January 23, 2014. He was born July 29, 1933 in Declo, Idaho and is the son of Rex Haines Jacobs and Clare Julia McHale. He was a graduate of Declo High School and the University of Idaho, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and served a LDS mission in Great Britain. On September 8, 1961 was sealed to Clara Marie Holyoak in the Salt Lake Temple. He worked at Hill Air Force Base for 36 years and served faithfully in the LDS church in many ward and stake callings. After raising a family, he served with his wife in the Micronesia Guam mission. He also served as a humanitarian service missionary and an ordinance worker in the Bountiful Temple. Alan enjoyed snow and water skiing, boating, camping, and gardening.
Alan is survived by his wife Marie; children Bruce (Lynn); Brenda (Kenneth) Barker; Paul (Heather); Scott; Glen (Marcia); Denece (Bryce) Neilson; and Kyle; two brothers, Don and Hyde (Geraldine); and 13 loving grandchildren.
Viewing to be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 from 6-8pm at Russon Brothers Mortuary,
295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah and again on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 from 10-10:45am at the Bountiful South Stake Center,1250 South Main. Funeral to follow at 11am. Interment at Bountiful City Cemetery.
