Alan L. Gomm

September 25, 1956 — March 12, 2022

Alan L Gomm joined his high school and eternal sweetheart after a long 18 years of waiting on March 12th 2022.

Alan was a huge outgoing teddy bear, with booming voice which was inherited from his grandpa Moser-it was one of his best qualities. Alan was a trivia, music and movie buff. If you needed an artist from any song, he didn’t use google or YouTube he just knew it. Some of his favorite movies included “The Fifth Element” and “Dune”. There wasn’t a bigger Neil Diamond fan than Alan. He passed down his love for music to everyone. His music would always be playing when you walked into his room.

His grandkids were his biggest joy and always made him happy. Alan struggled with health for years, but he was able to find the joy and laughter in every single moment. We made several trips to hospitals to say our goodbyes and we think his favorite “stupid kitty” must have rubbed off his nine lives on Alan, because he kept on finding his way back to us.

He was an amazing man raising his special needs son for so many years. Michael was a blessing from Heaven for him even when times were tough. Birthdays will never be the same without his goofy renditions of Happy Birthdays that he sang to every single person he loved, which was a whole lot of people.

Alan graduated from high school in 1974, he was a proud Viking!

Alan is survived by his loving mother Jenice, who always stuck by him through thick and thin.  His sons and daughter:  Jason, Micheal, Sharla (Ryan), Cameron (Cristy) Grandkids: Kacy, Cassie, Austin, Saydee, Jocelyn, Connor, Mila and Hannah  Siblings: Teresa (Buddy) Eileen (Dean) Crystal (Doug) Troy (Chrissy) Matt (Stacie)

He was preceded in death by wife Julie, father Clyde and a brother Gary (Lisa) that he met for the first time in Heaven.

Special thank you to his staff and friends at Apple Tree Assisted Living who were more like a 2nd Family.
