Alan Weaver

Biography

Bountiful – Alan Barnes Weaver returned to his heavenly home on December 13, 2012 with his beloved family by his side. He was born to Lloyd and Ruby Barnes Weaver in Layton, Utah on August 2, 1927. He attended school in Davis County where he made lasting friendships. He served his country in the Navy from 1945- 1946. He attended the University of Utah. He spent his professional life in the grocery business owning and managing stores. He worked at Associated Foods for 10 years, then the next 30 years he owned the Alan B. Weaver Food Brokerage and Distributing business where he made lifelong friends. He was also active in real estate. In 1949 he married Thella Howard who has been his constant companion and the love of his life for 63 years. Being Father to Barney, Bryan, and Tami Ann was one of his greatest joys in life. He provided them with a cabin at Bear Lake, where they have lasting memories. His family truly appreciates the numerous opportunities offered them. He was a member of the LDS Church where he served three Stake Presidents as their financial secretary and served seven years as a part time service missionary. He enjoyed various other callings. He had a testimony of his Savior. He is survived by his only Brother Rulon (Sally) Weaver; his three children, Barney (Ruth) Weaver, Bryan (Grace) Weaver, Tami Avery (Ron) White, 13 wonderful grandchildren and 12 adorable great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his beloved son- in-law, Kim Avery.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 17, 2012 at the Lakeview Ward, 455 South 1200 East, Bountiful. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Monday morning 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.

A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Monday morning 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
