Aletha Keller Parrish

January 27, 1923 — February 1, 2024

Our beloved mother, Althea “Lee” Keller Parrish passed away peacefully on February 1, 2024, surrounded by her family and close friends.

Lee was born on January 27, 1923, in Mink Creek, Idaho to Emanual and Mildred Bennett Keller. She was 7 of 11 children. She grew up on the family homestead in Mink Creek, where she helped around the family farm and where she attended school.

In 1950 she married her sweetheart, O. Wayne Parrish. She and Wayne raised their family in South Davis County. Lee worked for the Davis School District as a unit manager at Bountiful Elementary School. Lee enjoyed singing in the Bountiful choir. Following retirement, Lee She was an avid golfer, well into her late 90’s, and was a member of the Bountiful Ladies Golf Association. She was also an avid bowler. Throughout her life, Lee enjoyed and loved being with her family most of all. She would often talk to her boys about their jobs and what the grandchildren were doing. Lee will be remembered for her famous potato salad and coconut cream pie.

Lee was preceded in death by her parents and all 10 of her siblings; her sweetheart Wayne and daughter in law, JoEllen. She is survived by her two sons, Dan (JoEllen – deceased) and Jeff (Deserae); grandchildren, Jessica, Adrienne, Nickolas, Kelvin, Amiee, and Shelley; and 7 great grandchildren.

At Mom’s request, there will be a private graveside service at a future date.  Our family would like to express appreciation to the Home and Stead hospice nurses and Mom’s friend and neighbor, Debbie.
