Alice Thurston Hall born February 5, 1943 passed away quietly in her sleep during the early morning hours of January 5, 2016. Alice was the daughter of Frank and Rhoda Thurston of Hyde Park, Utah. She married Dee Ashby Hall on August 17, 1959 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple for time and all eternity.
Her life was one of continual service and love. She loved the arts in all its forms especially theatre and music. The hymn “I’ll Go Where You Want Me to GO” was more than just a beloved hymn, but a sacred duty. Through the course of their companionship Alice and Dee moved many times and touched the lives of many people all across this great land from Boston to Sacramento. It was said of one Bishop “she loves as the Savior loves”. She will be greatly missed.
Alice is proceeded in death by her parents, younger brother Joseph, and son-in-law Tyler Smith. She is survived by 5 brothers, 2 sisters, their families, her husband, 9 children Wells Hall (Janet) – Kaysville, UT, Rina Miller (Ken) – Taylorsville, UT, Seth Hall (Janeen) – Cedar City, UT, Briant Hall (Christine) – Hyde Park, UT, Tiana Hall – Kaysville, UT, Amy Carr (Michael) – Sioux City, IA, Marianne Smith – Kaysville, UT, Laura Krummenacher (David) – Kaysville, UT, Philip Hall (Carrie) – Pampa, TX, 38 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held Friday, January 8th from 9:45-10:45 with Funeral Services to follow at 11:00am in the Shepard Ward LDS Chapel at 1955 S 350 E Kaysville, UT. A second Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 9th in the Maeser 4th Ward LDS Chapel at 2575 N 1500 W in Vernal, UT. Viewing will be from 10:30-11:45 with Service to follow at 12:00noon. Burial will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery.
