Allan Dean Halliday, Jr.

Allan passed away unexpectedly at his home in Layton, Utah on September 21, 2018 with his wife Zanette Halliday by his side. Allan was the son of Allan Dean Halliday Sr. and Katherine (Wennerstrom) Halliday.
He grew up with a love for football and karate. He was a black belt in three different styles of martial arts and played football for Judge Memorial High School. After high school he went on to major in engineering and ran track at the University of Utah. At a young age he started working for Smith's Food and Drug where he later met his wife Zanette. They were married November 14, 1992 and later sealed in the Manti Temple on August 6, 1994. Allan raised his children with his love for football and enjoyed coaching his sons little league teams and was always their biggest fan.
Where Allan truly shined was as a grandparent. His love and patience he had for his grandchildren will be forever remembered by all his family. His skills blossomed when he cared for his two special needs grandsons. Allan was extremely selfless when it came to helping others. He will always be remembered as a loving grandparent, father, and husband.
Allan leaves behind his wife Zanette Halliday; and children: Devin, Chase Kirkham, Ciara (Raymond), LaChelle (Jon), Connor (Katie), Stockton, Matrace, Brennan (Ann Maree), and Zandi; grandchildren: Dyclann, Xavier, Valzyed, Freddy, Sawyer, Anezhka, Aria, and Arcadia; sister Alana Oldenburg. He was preceded in death by his parents Allan and Katherine.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday September 26, 2018 at Layton Hills Stake Center, 2600 University Blvd. Layton, Utah. Friends and family may visit half an hour prior to services.
