Allen Dean Bithell

October 6, 1963 — January 22, 2019

Allen Dean Bithell was born Oct. 6, 1963, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Dean Allen Bithell and Annette Jane Bithell. He is survived by his brothers Randy Eugene Bithell and Bryan Kenneth Bithell.

With Allen's arms wrapped around you in a big hug you knew you were home. His welcoming smile and gentle spirit let you know you had arrived in the safety and comfort of a friend.

Any room grew brighter when he walked in. His infectious smile spread across the face of all who knew and loved him. Allen was easy to love, he always offered an equal energy exchange and let you know you were a true friend. His gentleness and honesty coupled with the security you felt, though you knew he would be firm with you when you needed it, made him stand out as someone you could depend on. Allen let everyone know through his unflinching gaze into their eyes and undivided attention, that you came first, and he cared deeply for you.

Allen was a true craftsman. There wasn't any project he couldn't figure out and, in the process, inspired others. His creations included beautiful ceramics, soaps and jewelry, many of his creations were gifted away in an act of pure gratitude. Allen found real joy in the contrast of being on the water at Lake Powell or under a clear night's sky in the desert.

Please join us to celebrate Allen's life on February 4th from 6pm-10pm at Gracie's Pub in downtown Salt Lake City (21+).
