Biography

Allen Robert Rodgers, beloved by his family and friends, passed away March 10, 2014 in Morgan, Utah.
Allen was born in Salt Lake City on March 24, 1953 to Louis Allen and Ola Jeneal Rodgers. He graduated from Bountiful High School in 1971 and received a bachelor’s degree from The University of the State of New York. Allen served honorably in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Air Force Reserves and had a wide-ranging career as a telecommunications specialist. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and shared his love for the outdoors with many dear friends and family. A gifted pianist, he played and wrote music—his most cherished piece is the one he wrote for his mother. He raised magnificent gardens and could fix or build almost anything. Kind-hearted and generous, he spent his lifetime reaching out to and assisting others. He will be greatly missed.
Allen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by his mother Jeneal, his wife Cindy, brother Neal, sisters Tanja, Sharree and Cherol, stepson Kaleb Nielson (Andrea) and three step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Primary Children’s Hospital. A graveside service will be held March 19th at 1:00 p.m. at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
