What a joyous reunion was had between Lou and her love Roy when they were reunited as one. Alma Lou Chivers Thomson was born September 16, 1929 in Pleasantview, Idaho to Thomas and Eliza Chivers. Lou spent a great deal of her early life on her parent’s farm. Lou loved riding on her horse beside her beloved father. There she learned to work hard, cook wonderful food and sew. At the tender age of seventeen she married her sweetheart Roy Evans Thomson on September 28, 1946. Later sealed in the Bountiful LDS Temple, March 16, 2005. They began their life together living for short time in Malad, Idaho. The couple made an important move to Ely, Nevada where Roy found employment. Lou worked as a soda jerk at the local drug store, but soon left that job to fulfill her role as mother, when daughters Shelley Ann and Debra Lee were born. In 1959 the family moved to Bountiful, Utah were Lou spent the rest of her life. Lou cared for her children, then when grandchildren and great-grandchildren came along, she cared for them as well. Lou was an excellent cook, as well as a master with needle, hook and thread.
Lou is survived by daughter, Shelley Wood and grandchildren: Misty (Rob), Ryan (Jessica), Richard (Melissa). The lights of her life, the great-grandchildren, Trevor, Madison, Easton, Alivia, Harper and Mavis. As well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Nanny loved her kids.
Lou is preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Evans; daughter Debra L. Trump, and son-in-law Grant Wood. Her parents Thomas H. And Eliza Chiver as well as sister, Rhea..
A celebration of her life will be Thursday, June 11, 2015, where a graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West.
