Beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend returned home to his Heavenly Father on October 15, 2006, at the Lakeview Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 15, 1916, Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the son of John M. and Enid G. Park. He married his sweetheart, Melva Argyle, on April 30, 1937 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a member of the Bountiful First Ward. He served as a Stake Missionary, Seventy, and Young Men?s President. He was a High Councilman, Bishop, and he held numerous other callings of service throughout his life. Alma loved the Lord and devoted his entire life to the service of others. His wife and four daughters and grandchildren were the center of his life and he enjoyed spending time with them on family vacations, and other family activities. He served in the United States Army/Air Force during WW II and was sent over seas to the Pacific Theatre. He worked for Bowmans Market in Kaysville as the Meat Manager for thirty years, where he was a friend to everyone who came into the store. Surviving is his wife Melva A. Park, daughters, Shirlene Deon Stevens, Kaysville; Karen Ron Hill, Fruit Heights; Joyce Alejandro Lefranc, Cottonwood Heights; and Louise Earl Mills, Providence; 19 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren; two sisters Jean Peterson, Salt Lake City; and Ann Cottrell, Kaysville. Preceded in death by his mother and father, two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one brother and one sister. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bountiful Tabernacle, 51 South Main, Bountiful. Friends and family may call Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the Bountiful Tabernacle. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the Lakeview Hospital, and Inspiration Hospice for their kindness and loving care of their husband and father.
