Aloir Vettori

Aloir Vettori, born on February 6, 1944, in Erechim, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, peacefully passed away in his sleep on May 24, 2024, at the age of 80, surrounded by his loving family in Kaysville, Utah. He is survived by his devoted wife, Leda Pinheiro Vettori, their three cherished children, Allie Edwards (Reed Edwards), Daniel Vettori (Katie Vettori), and Leo Vettori (Janelle Vettori), and his nine adored grandchildren – Jensen (16), Cole (13), Quinn (13), Cameron (8), Lucas (12), Jack (9), Liliana (6), Bella (15), and Kyzer (12) and his siblings Nilson Vettori, Sueli Vettori, Noeli Anderson.

On February 19, 1972, Aloir celebrated a union of love with Leda, and their bond was sealed in the Sao Paulo temple on January 6th, 1979. Together, they built a life filled with happiness, love, and unwavering devotion to each other and their family.

Aloir's journey began in Brazil, but his life's path led him to the United States in his 40s.  After spending two years in Normal, Illinois he made Kaysville, Utah his home with his family.

Aloir was a man of faith, finding solace and purpose in the Church of Jesus Christ. His commitment to serving in the temple was a testament to his deep-rooted beliefs and desire to make a difference in the lives of others. He dedicated his life to his family, always putting their needs above his own and ensuring they felt his enduring love and support in every way possible.

Beyond his role as a devoted husband and father, Aloir found joy in life’s simple pleasures. His passion for soccer was evident in every game he played and refereed, showcasing his love for the sport and the camaraderie it brought into his world. Aloir's presence on the field was a source of inspiration, and his enthusiasm was contagious to all who knew him.  He was a part of the soccer community refereeing well into his 70s.

As Aloir's journey in this life comes to a close, he was preceded in death by his parents Amancilio Vettori , Veronica Dorocz, sister Vilma Kitler, and brother Wilson Vettori. While his physical presence may be gone, his spirit lives on through the legacy of love and kindness he leaves behind. Those who were fortunate enough to know him will forever cherish his memory and experience his unwavering warmth and compassion.

Funeral services to honor and celebrate Aloir's remarkable life will be held on Tuesday, May 28th at 11:00 a.m. at the Russon Mortuary in Farmington, Utah. A viewing will precede services from 9:30-10:30 a.m.. This will be a time for family, friends, and loved ones to come together, share their memories, and find solace in each other's presence as they say their final goodbyes to a man that touched so many in profound ways. 

The funeral service will also be streamed live on the Russon Mortuary Live Facebook page and on this obituary page below. The livestream will begin 10-15 minutes prior to the service at 11:00 a.m..

Leda, Leo, Daniel, Allie, and the entire Vettori family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, kindness, and prayers during this difficult time. The support and comfort they have received have been a source of strength, reminding them that they are not alone in their grief. While they mourn the loss of a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, they take comfort in knowing that Aloir is at peace and watching over them with love from above.

As we bid farewell to Aloir Vettori, may his legacy of love, faith, and dedication to family live on in the hearts of all touched by his presence. Though he may be gone from this world, his spirit will forever remain a guiding light, shining brightly in the memories and cherished moments shared with those he held dear. Rest in peace, Aloir, knowing you are loved beyond measure and will never be forgotten.
