Our mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully on December 22, 2016. Amy Irene was born on February 19, 1934 in Zurich, Montana to Rex Deleal Haycock and Lois Olive Murphy. She was raised in Montana where she graduated from Chinook High School, after which she moved with her mother and two sisters to St. George, Utah. There she met and married her first husband, Anthony Paul Hafen. Irene is survived by four of her children and their spouses; Debra (Steven) Wood of St. George, Utah; Diane (Charles) Cluff of Emmett, Idaho; Buster (Paula) Hafen of West Bountiful, Utah; Muggy (Jill) Hafen of Emmett, Idaho, and her sister Rita Heywood. She cherished time spent with her 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Irene was preceded in death by her son Paul Burton Hafen and her second husband, Lloyd Wilson Green.
Irene was proud of and dedicated to her service in the Scouting program. She spent many years in guiding young Scouts through their achievements, attending Philmont Scout Camp and earning her Wood Badge designation. She loved music and sharing it with her great grandchildren. Most recently she thoroughly enjoyed her association and membership in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Irene was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Canyon View Ward Chapel, 850 North 300 West in Farmington, Utah. Family and friends may call Friday morning between the hours of 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Family and Friends may visit with the family the night before the funeral at the Russon Brothers Mortuary from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at 1941 North Main in Farmington, Utah. Interment will be at the Farmington City Cemetery.
