Salt Lake City, UT-Amy Kathrine Harris was born November 11, 1980 in Mesa, AZ. She passed away May 31, 2022 from cancer. Amy was the daughter of Steven and Cheri Harris. Amy grew up in Logan, UT and attended Logan City Schools. She graduated from Logan High School in 1999. She then attended Utah State University and graduated Summa Cum Laude in Accounting. Amy worked for Alsco in Salt Lake City for 16 years in their tax accounting department.
Amy was a quiet and private person but to those that knew her she was kind and loving. She had a fun sense of humor. She could be quiet but knew how to stand her ground if she disagreed with you. She loved her nieces and nephews and loved spending time with them. Amy loved to travel and would travel by herself to foreign countries that interested her. She has traveled to Hawaii, Europe, Iceland, Australia, and was going to travel to Japan before COVID and her illness prevented her from going. Amy had a taste for the finer things in life from food to clothes and shoes. Everyone was always interested in what Amy was wearing for the day because it would always be interesting and very fashionable.
Amy is survived by her parents Steven and Cheri Harris, her sisters Jennifer Winger (Tab) and Alisha Straley (Jared), her brother Bradly Harris (Jordan), and her 10 nieces and 2 nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Glen and Royene Andersen and Kathrine Harris.
