Andrew Smith

October 2, 1958 — August 31, 2011

Our beloved husband, father, son and brother passed away tragically in an accident on the evening of August 31, 2011. Andy was born in Vineland, New Jersey, on October 2, 1958, the son of John and Ruth Smith. He grew up in Vineland, graduating from Vineland High. He came to Utah to purse further education at Utah State University, graduating with a degree in English. Andy made friends wherever he went. He loved talking with people. He believed that everyone had a story worth telling. He accepted people as they were. Andy is dearly missed by his wife, Lori and son, William. Andy and Lori were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on November 13, 1993. Andy was fun, crazy, a little goofy and we loved him for it. He always made life interesting. He and Will had fun hanging out, fishing, and talking. Andy and Lori taught the Sunbeam class together. He loved the children and Primary. Andy is survived by his wife and son, his mother Ruth Repp, his siblings Lyle and Judy Smith, Lorraine and Leon Whilden, and Julie Smith. The Mason family: Jay Mason, Pat and Cliff Johnson, Doug and Gel Mason, Steven and Lesley Mason, Tiffani and Jason Vriens, Mike and Allison Mason, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father John Smith and his stepfather John Repp. A viewing will be held Monday, September 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1941 North Main Street, Farmington, Utah. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Davis Creek Chapel, 825 South 50 East in Farmington, Utah. A viewing will be held before the service from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at the Farmington City Cemetery.
