ANGELA KAY (PENNEY) POOLE, age 48 of Woods Cross, Utah passed away Sunday 25 Oct, 2015, at LDS Salt Lake City, UT Hospital. Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt & dear friend — She was a graduate of Wood Cross High School, University of Utah. Also attended two years at BYU. She was in her most-preferred place when she was being a Mother and Homemaker or enjoying time spent with family and friends. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she was a return missionary from the Helsinki, Finland Mission. Born in Ogden, Utah Dee Hospital on Monday 7, August 1967 to Donna Kay and Philip Darwin Penney. She gave a three year great fight against the emperor of maladies (Cancer). A child of God has gone home to rest in heaven.
She is survived by husband Sam Poole, daughter Annie Chelsea Poole, both parents, an older brother & sister in-law: Leon & Donna M. Penney at Sanger, CA; younger sister & brother in-law: Laura & Joel Finch at Riverton, UT; three step sons, Eric and Christy Poole at SLC, UT, Adam Poole at Fort Meyer, FL, Mykal Poole at Whitehall, PA; two grandsons and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an older brother Bryan M. Penney.
National Benefits of Salt Lake City was her work in the College student era. Mentored by Paul Lovell. Angela gave 15 years of dedicated service to the EG&G Chemical Agent Disposal Facility in Tooele. She also ran the Summer Literacy program in Woods Cross City for 4 years, bringing the gift of literacy to hundreds of school-aged children. Her years of service as a temple worker in the Bountiful temple became a symbol for how she lived her life. She was hired as an instructor at Legacy Preparatory Academy, but was unable to serve long because of her illness.
Angela will be greatly missed by her loving family and many friends.
Services will be Fri, October 30, 2015 11 am. Woods Cross Stake Center, 2064 S. 800 West. Friends may call Thursday Oct. 29, 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main St., Bountiful. Also Friday morning at Woods Cross Stake Center 9:45-10:45 am prior to services. Interment: yet to be determined at Bountiful City Cemetery.
Wife, Mother, Daughter, Aunt, Grandmother & dear friend, we thank you for blessing our lives and filling them with testimony witness of the Gospel, love, service, laughter, and joy. You will always be in our hearts, and we know that you will be nearby and over us.
