Angelic Keirnes

Biography

Our sweet wife, star mom, daughter, niece, cousin and beloved friend Angelic McClellan Keirnes was reunited with her mother and sister on March 26, 2013 after battling Cystic Fibrosis for 32 years.

Angie was born on March 10, 1981 in Salt Lake City, UT to the most perfect parents, Bruce Edward McClellan and Dana Ilene Frisby McClellan. With Dana’s humor and Bruce’s heart, she was raised in West Bountiful alongside her beautiful older sister, Michele, and the neighbors, the Kollers. The kids wore a path between the front door of the two houses, a path that remains in the hearts of them forever. Growing up surrounded by all her awesome cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents, Angie was never at a loss for fun. Her childhood was defined by camping adventures all over Utah, magical summers at CF camp and any excuse to play.

Angie’s life changed forever when she met a handsome man named Marc William Keirnes. He swept her off her feet, bringing a sweet baby boy named Payton along for the ride of her life. She adored her Payton. He called her star mom and she lived up to the title, lighting up his life and all around her. They made their home in Park City.

Angie worked until December of 2012 for Skywest where she had many good friends. Before that she worked at Franklin Covey where the highlight of her week was “Asian Stir Fry Friday.” Before that, she worked at Bob’s Deli in Bountiful. We are still mourning the loss of their famous beef jerky. She graduated from Bountiful High School, despite the hijinks of her best friend, Jenny Koller Schwulst. Angie and “my Jenny” were inseparable until the day Angie passed at the University Hospital.

Angie lived life fearlessly, whether a zombie apocalypse or a new CF treatment, she was ready for what came next. Our beautiful Angie arrived ready to laugh, had a flair for the dramatic, and was always there for those she loved. She called her daddy everyday and made every holiday magical. The spontaneous movie nights and unending card games will be sorely missed.

Angie passes from the loving arms of her husband, son, and daddy into those of her mother and sister. Their reunion brings us comfort as we send our shining star into the sky.

Our sincere, heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the University hospital for their tireless service, dedication and love. They were another family for Angie. A special thanks to our hero, Dr. Liou.

A viewing will be held Monday, April 1st at the Russon Brothers Mortuary in Bountiful from 6 to 8 pm and Tuesday 9:45-10:45, prior to the funeral service which begins at 11 am at the LDS stake center in West Bountiful, 1930 N 600 W. Those wishing to celebrate her life with us are invited to wear baby blue in her honor. Following the service, Angie will be laid to rest in the Bountiful cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Angie would appreciate donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation…making great strides for her beloved “cystas!”
