Anita Jane Shelton Moulton passed away on December 19, 2014 in Kaysville, Utah.
Born November 24, 1920 at her grandparents Watson ranch in Charleston, Utah (where Deer Creek Reservoir now is). She is the first of nine children born to Charles Albert Shelton and Maud Ella Watson Shelton.
Anita married John Barton Moulton in the Manti Temple August 13, 1945. She graduated from Wasatch High School and Seminary in Heber City and attended LDS Business College. She worked as a secretary, and was a dental assistant to Dr. F. C. Montgomery in Heber City until he went to serve in World War II. Anita began work as secretary to the Safety Engineer at Geneva Steel. She went into Cadet Nursing at the University of Utah and General Hospital in Salt Lake City.
John B. and Anita lived in Heber City, Farmington and Centerville. They have always been active in their wards and served a mission together in Sri Lanka (Singapore Mission) and a service call to prepare the Civil War records for filming in Richmond, Virginia.
Anita has served as Primary President, Relief Society President, YWMIA President, and on the Stake Board of Relief Society, as well as a teacher in the various auxiliaries, Stake Missionary, and Visiting Teacher.
Anitas children are: Jason B. Moulton (Barbara) currently serving in the Kentucky Louisville mission, Larry A. Moulton (Sheila); Mary Lou Welch (Steve); and Charles S. Moulton (Fran) currently serving in the Family and Church History Headquarters Mission, and foster daughter Willy James (George), and a stillborn son.
Anitas living brothers and sisters are Ann Erickson, David Shelton (Lettie), Vaun Shelton (Velda), and sister-in-law, Addie Hunter.
Anita was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years John B. Moulton, her parents, a sister Mary Lou, a brother Charles Shelton (Connie), a sister Beth Moulton (Dick), a brother Grant Shelton (Darlene), and a sister Jeanne Fitzgerald (Clark).
Viewings will be held at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 26, 2014, and from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, December 27, followed by the funeral service at Russon Brothers Mortuary at 10:00 a.m. The graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Heber City Cemetery, prior to interment.
