Ann Lerwill Lewis

3/22/1947 ~ 4/1/2021

Ann Lerwill Lewis, age 74, of Syracuse, Utah passed away peacefully surrounded by family at home on April 1, 2021.  Ann was born on March 22, 1947 in Payson, Utah, the third of four children.  Ann was the daughter of Harvey Lerwill and Vera Blackett Lerwill.  Ann was close with both her parents, and always had a story to tell about the joyful times she spent with them.  Ann was raised in Payson and graduated from Payson High School in 1965.

Ann married her sweetheart Rupert Clark Lewis on April 8, 1966 and they were sealed for time and all eternity on April 8, 1974 with sons Keith, Scott, and Karl.  Ann and Clark spent over 55 wonderful years together, and they would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on April 8th, 2021.  Ann and Clark loved each other dearly, and stood by one another through thick and thin.  Whether it was a Jazz game or a car ride around the block, they could find joy and laughter in simple tasks together.  They were blessed with six children and Ann found great joy in her role as a mother.  Ann was always looking out for the interest of others, and loved to serve those around her.  Ann loved and celebrated each of her 13 grandchildren.  Any adventure they could acquire, she was surely along for the ride.  Ann just loved spending time with them in any capacity.  She specifically adored teaching them to bake, sew, spell, learn addition and subtraction, and ride tractors around the backyard.  Anything her children or grandchildren needed she was always the first to offer any help she had.

Ann lived in Valdosta, GA; Lakeshore, UT; Clearfield, UT; and Syracuse, UT. She made lasting friendships wherever she went.  Ann was a light to those around her and was always looking for an opportunity to serve those around her.  Ann was a wonderful hostess and excellent cook.  She and Clark loved to entertain company.  Ann and Clark loved to travel across the country especially visiting grandchildren in Michigan, New Jersey, Hawaii, Wyoming, and Alaska.

Ann was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings.  She loved going to the temple with Clark and was especially excited with the announcement and building of the Syracuse, Utah temple.  She would often drive or walk down the street to check on the progress being made.  Ann had unwavering faith in the gospel, even in her darkest times.

Ann is survived by her three brothers Jay (Maryann) Lerwill, Payson; Lynn (Mina) Lerwill, Santaquin; Max (Noreen) Lerwill, Payson; and her six children; Keith (Becky) Lewis, Kaysville; Scott Lewis (Melinda) Layton; Karl (Heather) Lewis, Clinton; Cody (Shalyn) Lewis, Rawlins, WY; Christine (Nick) Thomas, Ewa Beach HI; Debbie Lewis, Syracuse and her grandchildren: Olivia, Kennedy, Marshall, James, Nathan, Kasidee, Mary, Sarah, Hadley, Jacob, Nora, Brock and Harvey.

Ann was welcomed to her heavenly home with warm arms by her parents, Harvey and Vera Lerwill and granddaughter Mary Clara Lewis.
