Ann Ranck Saunders passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and loved ones on May 8, 2024, in Bountiful, Utah, not long after her 80th birthday celebration.
Ann was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Richard Byron Ranck Sr. and Isabella Stoney. She grew up in West Bountiful and spent her summers at her family’s ranch in Robertson, Wyoming. Ann graduated from Bountiful High School and then continued her education at Utah State University. While in Logan, she met the love of her life Rick Saunders. They were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together they had 4 children.
Ann faced her greatest challenge when her husband Rick became disabled at the young age of 40. Ann spent the next ten years valiantly serving and caring for her best friend and companion until his passing. After anxiously waiting 30 years, she is finally reunited with him.
Ann always had a love for acting and being in the spotlight. In high school she was involved in musicals and won many awards in drama. Later in life, she became involved in being an extra in movies, landing small roles in commercials and independent films, then moving on to become a viral sensation on TikTok, bringing joy to many and making people laugh.
Ann loved her family and was everyone’s biggest cheerleader. She loved giving gifts, including her homemade Christmas candy. She was extremely competitive when it was time to play games. Everyone knew they had to play by her rules. She liked watching sports, and was a big fan of BYU and the Utah Jazz.
Ann was passionate about her religion, she had a testimony of Jesus Christ and spent a lot of time reading and studying His gospel and His plan of happiness. She enjoyed sharing the Living Scriptures with anyone who came to visit.
She is survived by her 4 children; Shanna (Layne), Brad (Jana), Blaine (Melissa), and Sadie; her sisters, Carolyn, Alda Jean “Tweet” (Wayne); her brother, Keith G. (Nita); her 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren with one more on the way.
Ann is preceded in death by her loving husband Richard Alma Saunders; Parents, Richard Byron Ranck Sr. and Isabelle Stoney; Brothers, Richard Byron Ranck Jr., Lawrence J. Ranck, and John Michael Ranck.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Ut., where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment - Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, Millcreek, Utah.
