Annamarie Nixon passed away January 1, 2012 of causes incident to age. She was born February 23, 1927 in Germany. At the age of three she came to America with her parents and five year old brother to make a new life. She graduated from South High School in Salt Lake City. Married Tommy LeRoy Nixon January 12, 1946 and lived in Salt Lake City as a newlywed before making their home in Centerville, Utah. Annamarie enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and creating handmade chocolates. She loved spending time on their recreation property at Macs Inn Idaho near West Yellowstone – as long as she had her trailer so she could cook and watch her soaps. She is survived by her children: Steve T. Nixon, Scott R. (Judy) Nixon, Richard M. (Pam) Nixon, and Synthia A. Nixon; her brothers, Ralph Baessler, Carl Baessler, and Mike Baessler; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; with one more due in February. Preceded in death by her husband, Tommy L. Nixon; brother, Siegfried Baessler and her parents, Eric & Elizabeth Baessler. She will be greatly missed by family and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2012 at the Centerville South Stake Center, 270 North 300 East. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Friday morning 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Centerville City Cemetery.
