Anthony Dean Reynolds

November 13, 1961 — October 13, 2022

Ogden

Our devoted and faithful husband, father, grandfather, son and brother returned home to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on October 13, 2022 surrounded by his family. Tony was diagnosed with frontotemporal degeneration, a cruel disease that showed up at far too young an age. Tony remained true to his character, gentle and accepting as he fought a courageous battle with the disease.

Tony was born in Salt Lake City to Darrell and Nolene Reynolds on November 13th, 1961. He graduated from Viewmont High School in 1980 and then served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the France, Paris Mission from 1980-1982. On August 30th, 1984 Tony was married and sealed to his sweetheart and eternal companion, Connie Thomas, in the Salt Lake Temple. Tony attended the University of Utah where he was senior class president and a member of Sigma Chi. He graduated in 1985 with a bachelor's degree in political science. He had a career in public administration, economic development, and real estate. Together, Tony and Connie raised three incredible children and have been blessed with four grandchildren.

Tony was a remarkable man and relationships meant everything to him. He was a dedicated husband who cherished his wife. They were the best of friends and loved being together. Tony was a tender father who always had time to connect with his children. He encouraged them to excel in all aspects of life, while teaching them to extend grace to themselves and others. He was a genuine and reliable friend. He had a quick sense of humor and room in his heart for everyone. He loved freely and he loved big.

Throughout his life, Tony was committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ and served faithfully in many church callings. He especially enjoyed the years he spent serving with the young single adults as a bishop and stake president. He was a man of faith, love, service, sacrifice and purpose. He had an unwavering testimony of Jesus Christ and loved Him dearly.

Tony loved the game of golf. The golf course was a special place where he spent time with his dad, sons, and friends. Tony was a great teacher. He always had a life lesson to share with those around him, both on and off the course.

Survived by his wife of 38 years, Connie, and their children Clark (Hayley); Chase (Chloe) and their children Kate and Jack; Megan (Jeffery) Speechly and their children Beck and Jane; His parents, Darrell and Nolene Reynolds; and his sisters, Tiffany (Richard) Stoll and Tatiana (Henry) Ihrig. Many nieces and nephews who loved and adored their Uncle Tony.
