Ardella Love Lawson returned to her Heavenly home Jul 23, 2012 in Farmington, UT at the age of 91.
Ardella was born Mar 23, 1921 in Layton, UT, the oldest child of George H. and Maude W. Love. She grew up on the family farm in Layton where she learned strong work ethics. She was educated in Davis County and graduated from Davis High School. She married her sweetheart, Ralph W. Lawson Aug 15, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Ardella was an expert gardener and took great pride in taking care of her yard. She enjoyed family reunions and fishing trips in the canyons. She was the Supervisor over the Rose Dept. for the Miller Floral Co. for many years and worked for Salt Lake Hardware prior to retirement.
Ardella was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many positions and fulfilled a part-time mission at Church Headquarters. She also held many positions in her DUP group and was a member of the Farmington Literary Club.
She is survived by five children: Ronald L. Lawson, Mountain Green, Marlene L. Page (Steve), Bountiful, Leon W. Lawson (LeeAnn), Farmington; Mark L. Lawson (Susie), Honeyville and Rodger K. Lawson, Farmington; brothers: Rulon Love, Jay Love and sister Arleen Lewallen (A.J.), brother-in-law, Ezra R. Tolman, and sister-in-law, Ada Love; 15 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Many wonderful nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son R. Brent Lawson, daughter-in-law Dianne Lawson, brother Glen Love and sisters Marjorie Tolman and Elnora Love, sisters-in-law Betty Love and Jean Love.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Farmington Rock Chapel, 272 N. Main St. Friends may call at Russon Brothers Farmington Mortuary, 1941 N. Main St., Thursday from 6-8 p.m. or 9:30 10:30 a.m. at the Rock Chapel prior to services. Interment Farmington City Cemetery.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the Country Care Center for their tender care and support of Ardella for the past four months and to her wonderful friends and neighbors who loved and supported her.
