Arlene Martinson

October 13, 1930 — July 26, 2014

Arlene May Grange Martinson passed away quietly in her home July 26, 2014 from complications of N.A.S.H (Non-Alcoholic Liver Disease). She was 83. Arlene May Grange was born October 13, 1930 in Woods Cross, Utah to Howard Eugene Grange and Sarah May Cleverly, the second of four children. She was educated in Davis County and graduated from Davis High School. She married Ozro J. Smith on April 9, 1949 and later divorced. She married her sweetheart Ralph Martin Martinson on Dec 1, 1950 and soon after moved to Minnesota. They moved back to Utah in the late 1950’s and Ralph found work as a carpenter. Arlene had a strong work ethic and held jobs at Sweet’s Candy, Kress Co. Coffee Shop, Village Café, Skaggs, Skaggs Alpha Beta, where she was employed for 20+ years and Rite-Aide. She retired in 1998 to care for her granddaughter Kaylin.
Arlene is survived by her children; Randy (Donna) Centerville, Dennis (Cathy) Smithfield, Steven (Tammy) Centerville, Anmarie West Bountiful. She leaves behind 17 grandchildren and their spouses and soon to be 44 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and her sister, Judy Siu (Leonard) Las Vegas, NV. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph (Marty), her daughter Maureen and brothers Howard and Mike. She will be missed. We love you mom!
Her family tenderly cared for her and wishes to express their appreciation to the health care professionals who treated her with respect and Access Home Care and Hospice with special thanks to Dani, Leann, Madi, Kyle and Brittany for their attention and care until the end. Thanks to the West Bountiful 4th Ward for their love and services.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 10:00 am, Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful. Friends and family may visit Tuesday evening, July 29, 2014 from 6-7:30 pm at Russon Brothers or 9-9:45 am, July 30, 2014 prior to services. Internment at Bountiful City Cemetery.
