Arnold Clair Nelson passed from this life on April 22, 2015 after a six month battle with a traumatic brain injury. He was born April 11, 1938 in Logan, Utah to Edwin Arnold and Marval Skidmore Nelson. He graduated from North Cache High School in 1956. Clair served for four years in the USAF, attended Utah State University, Technical Engineering Institute, and worked for UDOT for 34 years in several different capacities. He married C. Suzanne Chapman on December 7, 1956 in the Logan LDS Temple.
Clair was preceded in death by his parents, one sibling, Earl Jay, and his son Steven Arnold. He is survived by wife, C. Suzanne; daughter, Kathryn Ann (David Jeffrey) Salter; grandchildren: Sean (Katie) Salter, Stephanie (Brad) Burt, Suzanne (Jeremy) Tate and six great-grandchildren.
Clair served in many positions in the LDS Church. He loved spending time with his family. His many interests included woodworking, target shooting, fishing, riding ATV’s, music, photography, computers, spending time at his cabin in the summer and his winter home in Harrisburg.
Viewings will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful and again Wednesday morning 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. followed by a private family service. Interment will follow at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
