Arthella Erickson Townsend

On March 15th, 2011 our beloved mother, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt and friend, Arthella Faye Townsend passed away, losing a courageous battle to cancer. Faye was born on April 30, 1927 in Sandy, Utah to Clarence Erickson and Violet Barnett. She attended Jordan High School. Married George A. Townsend on August 15, 1949. They had three sons, Gary, Randy, and Steven. Steven preceded her in death. Faye worked 29 years at Auerbachs in Salt Lake City til it closed. She was a den mother for several years. We would like to thank all the neighbors on our street for their love and concern for our mom and Vista Care Hospice Services for their loving attention to our mom. Survived by sons, Gary and Randy; three grandkids, Marci (Rhett) Jefferies, Camie (Shane) Summerhays, and Sean (Janece) Townsend; and seven great-grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Ronald; her sister, Shirley; husband and son. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 21, 2011 at the Bountiful 28th Ward Chapel, 2285 South 200 West. A viewing will be held Sunday evening 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Monday 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Centerville City Cemetery.
