Born: November 8, 1917 in Slaterville, Utah. Died: January 8, 2020. Father Enos Arnold Slater, Mother Regina Richards.
Served a mission to the Hawaiian Islands from November 1939 to December 1941. Enlisted in the Army Air Force on Friday the 13, in February 1942, and obtained the rank of 1st Lieutenant. He Married Athene Wood, of Spanish Fork, Utah, in the Salt Lake Temple on February 26, 1943. Children: Robert (Linda), Brent (Margaret), Janice (Richard), and Doug (Jeanne). After his schooling they settled in Provo, Utah, and began working at B.Y.U. as a Psychiatric Social Worker and Counselor. Served actively in numerous Church and Temple callings for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had 5 children, 21 grandchildren and 60 great-grandchildren. Proceeded in death by his wife Athene on Dec. 18, 1997 and an infant son, Richard. Survived by his brother Wendell.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Russon Mortuary, 1941 N. Main St., Farmington, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to services from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment at Ogden City Cemetery.
