Arthur "Ned" Hartvigsen

June 11, 1933 — October 9, 2017

Arthur "Ned" Hartvigsen, dearly loved husband, dad, grandpa and friend, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 9, 2017 in Bountiful, Utah. He was 84. He was born June 11, 1933 to Elmer and Marie Hartvigsen in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Ned married Martha Jean Wiseman on September 15, 1952 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together they raised 5 children; Paul (Lorna) Hartvigsen, Shari (Ron) Belnap, Layne (Teresa) Hartvigsen, Douglas (Julia) Hartvigsen and Matthew (Jenny) Hartvigsen.

Ned was a "friend maker" wherever he went. He loved to talk to people and easily struck up conversations with anyone he met. He was blessed with a wide circle of friends, many of whom he counted as family. He showed his dedication and love for the Lord as he served in his ward and community. He always tried to do the things the Spirit impressed him to do. He was an example of this to his children. His greatest joy was being a husband, dad and grandpa.

Ned loved the outdoors and fishing with family and friends where he spent many happy hours.

He is survived by his wife Jean, his children and siblings Don (Dorothy) Hartvigsen, Dale (Jill) Hartvigsen, Shirley (Wayne) Harris, and John (Deanna) Hartvigsen, 21 grand children and 17 great grand children.

He was preceded in death by brothers Jay, Paul, and sister Anna Jean (Frank) Brown.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, October 16, 2017 at the Bountiful Tabernacle, 55 S Main, Bountiful, UT.
