Arvella Gertrude George

Arvella Gertrude Bischoff George passed away September 28, 2017.  She was born October 13, 1924 in Salt Lake City, the second of five children born to Carl and Gertrude Bischoff.  She married Ralph Ursel George in the Salt Lake Temple on June 19, 1946.  They are the parents of Cathy Lynn, Carlene, Cindee, Cassandra, Candace, and Calvin.  Arvella joyfully served in many church callings in addition to being a Girl Scout Leader in California for 11 years.  Ralph and Arvella served an LDS mission in San Antonio, Texas in 1983.  In later years, Arvella served as a Church Service Missionary at the Church Office Building for 27 years.

Arvella is survived by her sister Bette Kingston and brother Gordon Bischoff, 6 children, 19 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.  She was preceeded in death by husband Ralph, brothers Robert and Douglas, sons-in-law Robert Hanrahan and William Stapley, granddaughter Tessa George, and great-grandson Maddox Hanrahan.

Funeral services to be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the Mueller Park 4th Ward, 1320 East 1975 South, Bountiful.  Family and friends may visit Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful; and Tuesday morning 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery.
