Athalene Cordon Lynch

d. July 5, 2004

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend returned to her Heavenly Father on July 5, 2004. Her first priority in life was her role as wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a very dedicated daughter to her parents when they were alive. Athalene was born in Ogden, Utah to Glen and Pearl Cordon on January 9, 1921. She married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth D Lynch on October 8, 1941 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They have had 63 wonderful years together. Athalene took great pride in her yard and gardens and making her home a welcoming place to all. She was accepting and generous to all. She was a wonderful cook and homemaker. She got great pleasure in making sure the mailman and garbage man never went thirsty in the hot summertime. She was active in the LDS Church serving in the Relief Society presidency, young women?s, as ward and stake camp director, and various other callings. She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Lynch and her three sons: Craig Jewel, Gary Dorene, Mark Jan; her daughter Julie Jeff Ford; 9 grandchildren; 12.9 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 10, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bountiful 27th Ward Chapel, 1145 North 200 East where friends may call Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday morning from 11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. prior to services.
