Atlas Arthur Gwatkin

Atlas Arthur Gwatkin was born on May 15th at 7:18pm weighing 7lbs 2oz and 21 inches long via emergency C-section after suddenly going into distress.

Atlas left us at 1:02 am on May 16th in his loving Dad's arms. Both Mom and Dad, as well as some family were able to hold him and love on him for almost 6 hours.

Atlas was the most perfect baby from the very moment he entered the womb. He never made his mom sick, never kicked her too hard, never made her back hurt and only gave her a little acid reflux. His Dad loved talking to him in his Mom's belly and telling him how much he was loved and how excited everyone was to meet him. After he was born, he was still the most perfect baby– from his tiny feet and hands to his adorable blonde hair and button nose. Even though he was only with us for a short time, he has made an impression that will last a lifetime.

He is preceded in passing by both Grandfather's; Kevin Nelson and John Gwatkin. He is survived by his parents; Josh and Kelci Gwatkin, his Grandmothers; Annadel (Lester) Lemon and Kathi (Dale) Mccollugh, his Aunts; Bradi Nelson, Staci Gwatkin and Stephanie Gwatkin, his Uncles; Tanner Nelson and Michael Gwatkin, as well as several extended family members.

We love you Atlas. Not a day will go by where we won't be thinking about you and about how excited and happy you made us. Until we see you again, continue to hold up the world and be the amazingly perfect boy you are.

A viewing will be held on Monday, May 22nd between 10:00am and 11:00am at Russon Mortuary, 295 N Main Street, Bountiful, UT 84010 with a graveside service to immediately follow.
