Audrey B. Carr was born October 4, 1920, in Brooklyn, New York.
Audrey and her younger sister Frankee were dancers as children, known as the "dancing Deanes". They performed at the New Amsterdam Theater on 42nd Street in Times Square, where Flo Ziegfeld staged his Follies. The sisters also appeared at the Brooklyn Paramount Theater, the Majestic Theater and the New York Roxy Theater on Times Square.
Later in life, Venice and Audrey placed in competitive ballroom dancing many times.
During WWII, she worked in a factory making parts for B-25 bombers---mastering all twenty-one machines and eventually becoming the shop fore person.
She relocated to Utah at the end of WWII when she married Venice J. Carr.
She was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi and was a founding member of the Jeep Posse Auxiliary.
She also won an award as a sharpshooter in the National Rifle Association.
She opened her own successful card and gift shop in Bountiful when she was in her 40's.
She was an active member of a championship bowling league along with her daughter Peggy.
Audrey is the mother of 6 children, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Her children are Valerie Hendrickson (Utah), Melody Valaitis (deceased), April Drinkwine (Texas), Georgia Carr (deceased), Harold Carr (Utah) and Peggy Ann Carr Clark Boothe (deceased).

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 29, 2023 at the Bountiful Ward Chapel, 102 East 1400 South, Bountiful, Ut., where a viewing will be held from 9:30 -10:30 a.m., prior to services. Interment - Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West, Bountiful, Utah.
Services will be streamed live on the Russon Mortuary & Crematory Facebook page and on this obituary page. The live stream will begin 10-15 minutes before the services and will be posted below.
