“Audie”

 November 25, 1930- May 27, 2019

Our sweet mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend returned back home to Heavenly Father, her parents and siblings, and her husband Paul on May 27, 2019.  Audie was born to William Dewey Landes and Cleone Caroline Harrop on November 25, 1930. She grew up in Salt Lake and attended Whittier Elementary and Lincoln Junior High schools.  She graduated from South High School in 1947 and was proud to be a South High Cub!  While working in the library at the Salt Lake Tribune, she met Paul and they were married September 22, 1950. Together they raised 2 children, Craig and Paula.  Paul and Audie were blessed with 5 grandchildren: Jared, Amber, Lindsey, Taryn and Jace.  7 great-grandchildren: Cameron, Caden, Connor, Braxton, Corbin, Kyah and Logan.  “Grandma Audie” was loved dearly by all of them.

Audie was a beautiful, patient and kind person. During her many illnesses and trials, she never complained. She faced them with tremendous courage.  She was a wonderful mom, grandma, great-grandma and friend and she was loved by everyone that knew her.

Audie is survived by her son, Craig (Kaylyn), her daughter, Paula Swapp (Jeff), her best friends of 80 years, Shirley Wilkinson, who devoted every Wednesday for years and years to Audie, and Norma and Gloria.

A special thank-you to Greg Bowman and the sweet nurses and CNAs at Country Care in Farmington, to Inspiration Hospice and to Davis Hospital for the kind and loving care given to our sweet mom.
