Audrey Helquist Nelson

Audrey Helquist Nelson, age 83, of Bountiful, Utah passed away on February 19, 2017, surrounded by family. She was born on January 9, 1934 in Blanding, Utah to Charles Kenneth Helquist and Kora Johnson.
  She married Melvin Grant Nelson on May 18, 1952 in Blanding, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa Arizona LDS Temple. Grant preceded her in death on April 20, 1997.  
   She was an active member of the LDS Church and held numerous ward callings, as well as working in the Bountiful LDS Temple. She served as a missionary in the Iowa Des Moines Mission. She loved quilting, crocheting, knitting, cooking, gardening, and sharing her talents with others.
  She will be greatly missed by her children:  Steven (Lissette) Nelson, Fairfield, Connecticut; Eric Nelson, Bountiful, Utah; Annette (Dale) Hamblin, Biggs, California; her 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; her brothers and sisters:  Erma (Jack, deceased) Redd,  Bountiful; Corine (Howard) Hurst, Paradise, California; LaMar (Colleen) Helquist, Orem; Boyd (Betty) Helquist, Provo; Kenalee (Steven) Winn, Nephi; LaRue (Hugh) Kirkham, Bluff; Lyle (Deanne) Helquist, Lindon.
  Funeral services for Audrey will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Church, 102 East 1400 South, Bountiful, Utah. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah and again Thursday morning from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Graveside services will be held Friday, February 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Blanding City Cemetery with a viewing prior from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the LDS Chapel, 255 East 200 North, Blanding, Utah.
