Audrey Parkes

Audrey Mary Collingwood Parkes
Born 18 April 1927 in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England to Thomas Edward Collingwood and Hilda Nellie Lomas. She had a brother Robert Edward Collingwood and a sister Patricia Mary Collingwood Wakefield.

Audrey married her eternal companion,  Albert Ira Moore Parkes 1 June 1946, in Trysull, Staffordshire, England.  She was later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on the 20 of October 1952.  Their love story has continued through time and they were only parted for seven years while her loving companion went ahead of her to prepare their eternal home.

She was preceded in death by her parents:

Her beloved Mother in Law:  Annie Moore Parkes Starkie
Her Sister in Law and Brother in Law:  Stanley and Betty Gill
Her son:  Robert Ira Parkes
Granddaughter: Rachael Dawn Parkes Beckstrom
Her Great Granddaughter:  Addison Grace Palmer
                     (and almost everyone else)

Audrey loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and served in many callings for the Church of Jesus Chris of Latter-day Saints.
Her testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel and love for her Savior Jesus Christ was unwavering.
She enjoyed serving as an ordinance worker in the Bountiful Temple for 15 years.
She loved her sweet neighbors, caring Bountiful 58th ward family, and Temple Worker sister friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the Bountiful 58th Ward, 200 North 200 West, Bountiful, UT. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah and Saturday morning from 9:45 -10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment - Bountiful City Cemetery.
