Barbara Jean Morby

Barbara Jean Morby, 60, was born to Grant Ray and Hannah Jean Smith Morby on June 26, 1954, in Payson, Utah. She passed away the evening of May 30, 2015 at the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
Barbara grew up and was educated in Davis County attending Adelaide Elementary, Bountiful Junior High and graduating from Viewmont High School. She received her teaching degree from the University of Utah and worked her entire career in Davis County schools mostly at Woods Cross Elementary where she taught second grade. Barbara was an exceptional teacher.
Barbara was a devout and active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and took great comfort from the gospel.
Barbara is survived by her mother, Jean Morby and brother, Kent Morby, both of Bountiful, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family would like to thank the members of the Orchard First Ward who performed yeoman's service during her illness and her friends and the staff at the Huntsman Cancer Institute for their unfailing kindness. The family is also grateful, as was Barbara, for the outpouring of concern and best wishes from her students, fellow teachers and friends, all of whom she cared for very much.
Barbara was beloved of her people.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 5th, at 12 p.m. at the Orchard 1st Ward, 3707 South 800 West, Bountiful. There will be a viewing at the ward chapel from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
