Barbara Patricia Lay Tolman

Barbara Patricia Lay Tolman born on October 16, 1946, in East Melbourne, Australia, passed away on January 23, 2022, to be reunited with her eternal companion, Darrel William Tolman.

She was born in East Melbourne, Australia as the 2^nd child of ten, to her parents, Brainard Fisher Lay and Alice Mary Dwyer.  She served a mission in the Australia Brisbane mission in 1969-1970.  She married her eternal sweetheart, Darrel William Tolman, on September 25, 1987, in the Salt Lake Temple. They loved each other so much and were married for almost 32 years. She worked as an accountant for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 37 years.

She leaves behind her children:  Sheri (Duane) Lovell, David (Teresa) Tolman, Monica (Rick) Barton and Brian (Cathy) Tolman.  Also, her siblings:  Shirley Weaver, Michael (Rose) Lay, Margaret (Robert) Rogerson, Christine Johnson, Jared (Roberta) Lay, Kathy (Kim) Felice, Mark (Frances) Lay, Jenny (Scott Duncan) and Lainee Meis.  John (Joan) Tolman, Loretta (Deloy) Thueson, Loraine Tolman, John Taylor.  And she is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews who loved her.

Preceded in death by:  Darrel William Tolman (husband), David E. Lay (brother), Marilyn Bishop Lay (sister-in-law), Anthony Johnson (nephew), Lindsay Lay (niece), Michael Tolman (brother-in-law), Janice Taylor (sister-in-law), Shirlene Tolman (sister-in-law), and Buddy Pace (brother-in-law).

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 7, 2022, at Russon Mortuary, 295 N. Main St, Bountiful, Utah where a viewing will be held Monday afternoon from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to services.  Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
