Barbra Jean Knight

March 31, 1958 — December 24, 2021

Barbra Jean Knight came into this world March 31, 1958 bringing joy to the hearts of her parents LaRell J and Carol Anne Winkler Knight. Her tender, giving, golden, peaceful heart stopped beating on December 24th after a stroke.
Barbra came into the world with a big gap-toothed smile that she shared with everyone around her. If you crossed her path, you were probably a recipient of that big smile. She was always thoughtful of others and radiated that love to those around her. Barbra had a magic touch with plants. She was a big help taking care of the huge garden in the family’s back yard both planting, spending hours weeding, and collecting the harvest. She was a plant whisperer and loved bringing beauty from the ground. She worked for J&L Garden Center, Bountiful City Parks, and most recently Rockin E.
Her talents added beauty and joy to countless gardens.
Barbra’s beloved pets brought her so much joy, from Tessoro to Poco and KleeKai they brought her comfort and companionship. She loved that there was no judgement, just love from her fur babies.
Barbra loved to crochet, and she was a master. She loved challenging herself with new projects and sharing her treasures with everyone around her. Hats and scarves, blankets and Christmas trees, her projects became more complex. She made a Ghost, Dracula, Leprechaun, Grinch Santa, and many beautiful Star Wars figures, which she shared with those she loved.
Barbra loved the outdoors and camping with her friend MaryLynne. A peaceful morning punctuated by a colorful sunrise, and appreciating Mother Nature’s array of beautiful plants, flowers and trees filled her soul.
How do you sum up a beautiful, complicated life in a few words? She will never be forgotten. She is our beloved sister, friend or neighbor. It’s just see ‘ya later, ‘til we meet you on the other side.
Barbra leaves behind her siblings, Laurie (Randy) Edwards; Brenda (Jeremiah) Knight; Sharon (Vaughn) Montgomery; Nathan (Janette) Knight; Gary (Heather) Knight; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends Janis Newell, and MaryLynn Whittaker.

There to greet her on the other side is her Dad LaRell J Knight, her Mom Carol Anne Winkler Knight, and her sister Susan Montes.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 11:00am – Noon at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 436 West 400 South, Centerville, Utah.
