Bart Dominic Oliviero

Bart Dominic Oliviero, loving Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the age of 79 after a brief battle with lung cancer. He was born May 18, 1936 in Naples, Italy to Guilio and Rosalia Punzo Oliviero. Dad grew up during World War II and lost his father at the young age of 4. He was educated by the nuns and priests of the Catholic Church. Dad was in the Merchant Marines and immigrated to the United States in 1956 where he started his new life in New York. He met and married Connie MacDurmon (later divorced) and they had three children: Helen (Gabe) Andrasovsky, Victoria (Dominick) Nicolich and Marc (Valerie) Oliviero.
Dad loved watching sports especially soccer. He loved all the New York teams especially the Mets.  Bart is survived by his children, 10 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way. His sister Helen Oliviero (Italy) and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters.
A special thank you to the Staff at Heritage Place in Bountiful for making the last year and a half of Dad's life so enjoyable for him. He was so happy there and they took excellent care of him. Also thank you to Symbii Hospice for the excellent care they provided as well.
Funeral Services are provided by Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Monday January 4, 2016. Viewing at 12:45-1:45 followed by a memorial service at 2:00. Interment at Bountiful City Cemetery following.
