Beatrice Rich Schofield passed away 15 January 2020 in Ogden, Utah. She was born in Morgan County to William Rawle and Dora Clark Rich. Beatrice graduated from Morgan High, Weber Jr. College and the University of Utah with a degree in elementary education. She was a teacher and reading supervisor for forty-five years having taught in Granite District, Las Vegas, Japan, Morgan and Davis School District.
Beatrice and Joseph Malin Schofield were married 7 June 1963 in the Salt Lake Temple. Malin died 16 February 1977.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints having served as an officer, teacher, organist and chorister in all the organizations.
Beatrice is survived by her children: Colleen, Kevin (MaryNell); 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; brother Lyle (Pam) Rich; sisters, Beverly (Wayne) Grimshaw, Dorothy Camper, Doraleen Rich. Preceded in death by her husband, Malin, brother Carl Rich and a great-granddaughter Heather.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the West Bountiful 1st Ward, 311 North 800 West. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful and Saturday morning 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Centerville City Cemetery.
