Bertha RaNae (Peterson) Morris, 90, of Parowan, Utah, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away November 29, 2011 at Barton Creek Assisted Living Center in Bountiful, Utah. She was born June 20, 1921 in Parowan, Utah to Arthur Sylvester Peterson and Edna (Fowler) Peterson. Bertha married Eldon Adams Morris of Beaver, Utah on November 10, 1941. Their marriage was sealed in the St. George, Utah LDS Temple January 6, 1979. She had an interesting life. She hot-walked thoroughbred racehorses for her father and traveled to military posts with her husband during his military service. While Eldon was overseas during WWII, Bertha worked at the Ogden Arsenal until he came home. When they lived in Pioche, NV, she served in the Ground Observer Corp. She volunteered at the visitors center in Parowan. Bertha was a devoted wife and mother who took pride in her family, her home and in her church service. She loved all of her church callings. Bertha is survived by her daughter, RaNae (Dennis) Travers of Reno, NV.; daughter, Jeanne (Paul) Roubinet of Bountiful, UT.; son, Robert A. (Michelle) Morris of Rigby, ID.; eight grandchildren: Eldon (Teresa) Travers, Christopher (Chalese) Wheelwright, Jeff (Melody) Wheelwright, Dani (Jarron) Mitchell, Tyler (Giannina) Morris, Braden Morris, Michelle (Courtland) Berg, and PJ (Kristin) Roubinet. Bertha is the proud great-grandmother of 13 with one more on the way. She is survived by two sisters, Iva Prince of Las Vegas, NV., and Ann (Anthon) Perry of Cedar City, UT. Bertha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eldon; her brother, Arthur Peterson; and sisters, Glenna Cruz and Elma Davis.
