Berton Williams

Biography

Berton Elliott Williams passed away October 30, 2014 in Layton, Utah. Born October 17, 1932 in Malad, Idaho the 4th of 12 children, to Berton Elliott Williams and Rachel Mae Peabody Williams.
He enjoyed and excelled at boxing winning the State Championship 2 years in a row. He joined the military after high school. Worked for the FAA in flight service and he had his pilot license and loved to fly. Much of his retirement was spent on the golf course. Loving his family was his primary focus and love in life.
He is survived by his daughters: Kimberly A Williams Krek (Dale R Krek), Millie Jean Williams Benson; grandchildren: Tiffany Lynn Krek, Daniel Ray Krek, Jordan Michael Benson, Brittney Nicole Krek, Brandon Christopher Benson; great-granddaughter, Kaylie Maria Krek; siblings: Ila Mae Cunningham, Hanna Lou (sister-in-law), Connie Harris, Colleen Richards (Gene), David Williams (LaVee), Linda Snyder, and Pat Bracken (Jack). Preceded in death by his mother, father, siblings: DeeJay Williams, Gerald Dean Williams, Rosalie Williams, Grant Williams, Diane Ferrin; brothers-in-law, Ronald Ferrin, Roy Snyder and James Harris.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 3, 2014 at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, where a viewing will be held from 9:00 – 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment-Malad, Idaho at 3:30 p.m.
