Beryl Hansen Nelson, daughter of Isaac and Ruby Hansen passed away August 26, 2018. She was born on July 18, 1920 in Brigham City, Utah. She lived in Bountiful, Springville, Salt Lake City, and Fruitland.
She served in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, including 20 years in the Salt Lake Temple, a mission in Georgia and Temple Square, and was Ward organist for over 60 years. She taught piano, organ, and the accordion. She attended Utah State College and was an interior decorator, ceramist, teacher, and ran her own business.
She is survived by her sister, Janice Holmgren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Quentin L. Nelson. She has seven children, Michelle (Bill), Clyde, Reid (Liby), Debra (Craig), Christine (Mike), Shawn (Lori), Sandie (Ken), 24 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, and 21 great-great grandchildren. She will be missed.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 8, 2018, at the Val Verda 2nd Ward, 3317 South 800 West, Bountiful, Utah with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services. A viewing will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Friday, September 7, 2018, at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main St, Bountiful, Utah. Interment will be at the Brigham City Cemetery at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 10, 2018.
