Beth Hepworth Applegate

Beth Hepworth Applegate, 81, passed away on December 20, 2023, in Bountiful, UT.  She was born on July 25, 1942, in Hinkley, UT, to Orlando and Fern Hepworth. She was the youngest of 10 children.  She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings. Beth attended college in Cedar City at the College of Southern Utah, earning her Bachelor's Degree in education.  She went on to teach kindergarten in Tooele, UT, for many years. Beth is preceded in death by her former husband, George Applegate, and son, Brett Applegate. She is survived by their children Jennifer Hallenbeck, Laird Applegate, Trecia Applegate, and Cory Applegate, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she claimed as hers.

Beth loved her family and friends and wanted only the best for them.  She looked forward to their visits.  She had an extra love for animals and books; she read constantly. She loved Sam Elliott, Tom Selleck, and her dear friend George Romano, not necessarily in that order. Her lifetime best friend was Bobbie Roberts, whom she cherished as a sister. Beth was an excellent cook and always shared her recipes. However, no matter how hard we tried, they never tasted as good as when she made them. Beth had a keen sense of humor and a strong spirit right up to the very end and will be missed more than words can express. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating time to any care facility or money to your preferred charitable cause.
