Betty Ann Bangerter McIlrath

July 3, 1934 — May 5, 2018

Our angel Mother, Betty Ann Bangerter McIlrath of Bountiful, Utah, born July 3, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Eugene Wilford and Lillian Charlotte Bangerter, passed away at age 83, May 5, 2018. Betty graduated from Davis High School where she met her eternal companion, the late William Daniel McIlrath. They were married October 17, 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She worked and waited “impatiently” for Dan to return home from the Korean conflict so they could begin their family.
Mom enjoyed plays, country music, dancing, parties with her family, and she was a marvelous cook! She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and left this life with a firm belief of the Gospel and knew she would re-unite with her soldier, Dan, again.
She was preceded in death by her beloved, Dan, her parents, five siblings, and great-granddaughter, Lily. She is survived by a sister, Janice Dean; her daughters: Shelley (Kevin) Washburn, Bonnie (Gary) Hill, Susan (Glenn) Grover, and Danielle (James) Justesen; along with her loving son, Wes (Nicole) McIlrath; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, May 11, 2018 at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, where a viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and Friday 12:30-1:30 pm prior to services. Interment-Lakeview Cemetery.
