Betty Darlene Everett Mitchell

Bountiful, Utah – Our loving mother, grandma, great-grandma, sister and friend, Darlene Mitchell, passed away January 19, 2016 at Intermountain Medical Center following a short illness at the age of 92. She was born December 11, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Armond Ripley and Beatrice Blood Everett. Married George Mitchell, June 25, 1943. Later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Mom was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions. Her favorite was being a visiting teacher. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family and friends. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, reading and especially working in her garden.
She is survived by children: Sherry (Don) Youngblood, Michael (Cheryl) Mitchell, Craig (Karen) Mitchell, and Tricia McDonald. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 40 great- grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren and sister, Carol (George) Price. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Betty Thompson, 2 sisters and 1 brother. She will be remembered and loved forever.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Val Verda 4th Ward Chapel, 2633 South 50 West, Bountiful, where a viewing will be held from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment-Lakeview Memorial Estates.
