Betty Jean Slagowski

Betty Jean Hoggan Slagowski left this life to join her loving companion March 28th, 2014 . Betty was born August 31st, 1928. She met her lifelong sweetheart, Don Slagowski, while singing in the summer festival at the U of U. They were married July 28,1950 and later sealed in the SLC Temple. Mom had the voice of an angel and used her talent to bless many lives. She was a wonderful homemaker and gardener. She loved singing, dancing, tennis, bowling, golf and especially her girls. She loved her Savior and showed that love by many years of church service including over 20 years as a hostess at the Church Office and Joseph Smith Memorial buildings.
Survived by her brother Don Hoggan (Joan), 4 daughters: Sherrida (Julian), Deberra (B.J.), Michelle (Irish), and Stephanie (Larry); 15 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon, Friday, April 4, 2014, at the Arlington Hills LDS Chapel, 1300 E Fairfax Rd, SLC, UT., where a viewing will be held from 10:30-11::30 a.m. prior to services. Interment-Salt Lake City Cemetery.
