Betty Lucille Jensen Bullock, our loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 from complications of a 2002 stroke. Betty was born February 26, 1930 in Taber Alberta Canada to Virgil & Alyce Jespersen Jensen. She came from a 6 grade, 1 room country school to 7th grade in town school. There she met a farm boy that began a love affair of 67 years; and a wonderful marriage of 60 years. Norman Bullock was united with Betty for time and eternity in the Cardston Alberta Temple on November 15, 1950. Four (4) children arrived in the next few years, and in 1956 they migrated to Utah eventually settling in North Salt Lake and having two more children were born. Along with being a busy mother, she was active in LDS Church work, serving in the Scouts, Primary, Relief Society and Sunday School. Even a stint as a Crossing Guard. Music, picked up by sitting beside her mother on a piano bench as a child, was Bettys passion. Name a tune or hum a line and she could play it. She sang in the Ward Choir, also spent several years singing and traveling with the Bountiful Chapter of Sweet Adelines. Later in retirement years in the desert, she helped organize and sang in a 55 member choir. Betty joined her husband, Norman and son Parri, working as a Towing Dept dispatcher for 15 years at Rick Warner Ford. In 1982 they formed Bullocks Towing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alyce & Virgil Jensen; and a brother, Don Jensen in Alberta, Canada. Living there still are a brother, Gary (Sharon) Jensen and sister, Sharon (Garth) Hughes. Survived by husband, Norman; sons, Parri (Ann), Ron (Kim), and Bob (Jana); daughters, Lorie (Gary) Batchelor, Betty (Allen) Whittier and Lynn Dobias; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank Dr. White and the entire staff at Applegate Home Care & Hospice, the North Canyon Care Center and their staff. Also NSL Village Inn and our Village family.
